Forestry on Bornholm

In 2026, Ocean Prawns acquired Bodilsker and Poulsker Plantage on Bornholm. With the acquisition, a contiguous forest area of 695 hectares became part of our long-term Bornholm portfolio.

At Ocean Prawns, we invest for the long term and with a clear focus on how value can be developed responsibly over time. With Bodilsker and Poulsker Plantage, forestry has now also become part of our portfolio.

The forest is an asset with commercial, natural and local value – and part of the Bornholm landscape that many people know and use.

A forest with local roots

Bodilsker and Poulsker Plantage consists primarily of Norway spruce, while also including wetlands, open natural areas and landscape features around the Øle stream.

For us, the forest is both a production resource, a long-term investment and part of Bornholm. It is this combination of operations, nature and local roots that makes the forest an important asset in the Group.

Forestry requires long-term thinking

Our ambition is to manage the forest responsibly and with respect for the economy, the climate, biodiversity and the existing use of the area. At the same time, we want to continue the forest in the same good spirit that has characterised ownership until now.

This means respecting the partnerships already in place around nature management and the use of the forest, while building on the values and considerations that are already part of its day-to-day management.

The practical forestry operations are carried out by Fugato, which is part of the Ocean Prawns Group. This gives us a strong foundation for working long term with operations, development and planning, while also supporting the development of forestry on Bornholm.

With Bodilsker and Poulsker Plantage, our ambition is to combine sound business with responsible operations and local value creation.
